YellowMoon

Meet The Team

We are a slightly crazy bunch who all believe post production is a calling and not a job. The vast majority of the 30 employees have been with us since they started out. Given that we can count on the fingers of one hand the number of people who have left Yellowmoon over the last 25 years – we like to think of ourselves as a family and not just a team. So, feel free to use your mouse and meet all or some of the Yellowmoon family knowing, like we do, that while the kit and the infrastructure are important…it’s the person sitting in the chair that really counts.

Greg Darby

Managing Director

Greg Darby

Greg is the Boss and Yellowmoon is his baby.
In the early days he was an award winning editor but now he chooses to focus on the business side of things. He’s a bit of a clean freak and he loves to talk!
Occasionally he still edits and when he does, he can be found with his avid on a remote island off the coast of Donegal. We know, its where he is happiest!

Clare Campbell

Facility Manager

Clare Campbell

Clare is responsible for the overall day to day running of the facility. She’s in charge of everything and everyone so its no wonder she has the patience of a saint and the sense of humour of a sinner and boy does she need both!
Clare came to post from production and her ability to understand both sides of that divide is a great asset and the success of Yellowmoon is in no small way down to her!

Sophia McKeever

Post Production Supervisor

Sophia McKeever

Sophia is an in–house producer and is across all aspects of post. If you want to know when your dailies are being uploaded or your DPX delivered, then she’s the girl to ask! Completely unflappable under pressure, she never misses a beat or a deadline and manages to do it all with a smile!

Jonny Fetherston

Online Editor

Jonny Fetherston

Jonny is our Senior Online Editor and has worked in the business for 26 years.
He comes from an engineering background so not much gets passed him. He is the last person to handle your footage before it hits the screen so its good to know you’re in safe hands!

Eddie Quin

Online Editor

Eddie Quin

Eddie joined us in 2016 and is one of the new kids on the block. He is an online editor with a great eye for detail and an insatiable appetite to get things right! Always willing to go that extra mile – he’s just the type of person you want when you’re trying to get your gig out the door! He even reads books about the geometry of type…need we say more!!

Paul Maynes

Dubbing Mixer

Paul Maynes

Maynesy, as he is affectionately known, heads up the audio department. He is our main re recording mixer and all the big shows we do pass through his hands and ears before they get to yours. Paul has 25 years under his belt and his knowledge and expertise are legendary.
He is, without doubt, one of the most prolific mixers in Ireland today.

Karen Imbusch

Dubbing Mixer

Karen Imbusch

Karen has recently joined Yellowmoon after a decade of working in post in Glasgow. She runs our second dubbing theatre and we’re very happy to say she’s taken to it and us like a duck to water!

Stuart Pearson

Sound Editor

Stuart Pearson

Stuart is part of the audio department and dialogues are his thing! So if you need to shoot some ADR or run a Source Connect session with a studio in Papa New Guinea then he is your man.
He has been with the team for three years now and he doesn’t just mix the sound…he also mixes cocktails, perfect for a Friday!

Chloe Dalzell

Sound Editor

Chloe Dalzell

Chloe is one of our sound editors and FXs and Foley are her thing. She is very creative with her work and always hears things that most people can’t see – just the type of person you’d want to create your soundscape!

Feargus Magill

Sound Trainee

Feargus Magill

Feargus is part of the audio crew – he is a trainee and the most recent addition to that department. His main role is to support the rest of the team by prepping sessions before they start and backing them up after they finish.
Feargus approaches all the big jobs with the same level of enthusiasm and commitment as the smaller ones – so we know he’s going to do very well!

Scott Ferguson

Colourist

Scott Ferguson

Scott joined Yellowmoon in 2010 and today he is our in–house Colourist. When he is not grading shows like Game Of Thrones or Line of Duty he’s probably talking…he is another Mooner who loves to chat!!
Comic books and Tattoos are his thing so it should come as no surprise that he has a fantastic eye for two things…colour and art!

Darren Nash

VFX Supervisor

Darren Nash

Darren runs the VFX studio at Yellowmoon. He has over 20 years experience in the VFX business so there isn’t much he doesn’t know.
Just the type of man you’d want in charge of your VFX pipeline!

Ryan Yates

VFX Artist

Ryan Yates

Ryan joined Yellowmoon three years ago and is a compositor in the VFX department. His background is in Computer Animation and he has a Masters in Interactive Digital Media but the thing we really like about Ryan is that he loves to bake and we love him for that! Bring on the buns!

Paul Barrett

VFX Artist

Paul Barrett

Our modern day magician Paul can with a simple wave of his wand make unwanted visuals vanish and new desired ones appear. From complex creations like 3D zoo animals to a time warp in to the 1920s, anything is possible.

Max Tucudean

VFX Trainee

Max Tucudean

Max is our new VFX trainee from Transylvania. He has adapted well and shows great potential after being highly recommended, impressing Darren on his course. Welcome to the Yellowmoon team!

Rob Wright

Dailies Manager

Rob Wright

Officially, Rob is our dailies manager – responsible for every pixel and every sound file that enters the facility.  In reality, he is so much more than that!
Over the last decade he has helped create and mange the internal pipeline, ensuring that everything that was shot gets delivered with the minimum fuss but with maximum efficiency!

Rory Caldwell

Dailies Coordinator

Rory Caldwell

Rory is an integral part of the transcode team. He’s also a night owl – which seems to suit everybody! Rory processes all your rushes overnight so everybody can watch them the very next day…whats not to like!!

Lauren McGuigan

Dailies Assistant

Lauren McGuigan

Lauren joined Yellowmoon in 2016 and since then she has been an integral part of the transcode team. She is hugely enthusiastic and has an infectious personality – she also has a love for Kopparberg and Fortnite but we try and curtail both!

Lee Kinnier

Trainee Editor

Lee Kinnier

Lee is the latest addition to the transcode team. Cool and very calm under pressure, he came to us via Game of Thrones so we know he’s not afraid of long hours, weekend work or wildlings!
Just as well because the chances of encountering all three are pretty high.

Paul Devlin

Editor

Paul Devlin

Paul is one of the original Mooners, he’s been here forever and we hope it stays that way. Documentary is his forte and the rise of feature docs over the last couple of years has meant that we don’t see him for months on end!
He is a creative genius and finding the narrative is his thing…that and Huel but we don’t like to mention the latter!

Claire O’Neill

Editor

Claire O’Neill

Claire O, as she is known in the company, joined the team in 2005 as a trainee assistant editor. All our assistants follow an apprentice style route of learning and Claire was no exception. Today she applies her craft to great network shows like Britain at Low Tide and Million Dollar Car Hunters as well as a host of other local output.

Andy Tohill

Editor

Andy Tohill

When Andy joined Yellowmoon in 2006 he was a nervous assistant – today he is unrecognisable! He is one of the main documentary editors and has a reputation for crafting a hugely emotive story from the most complex set of rushes!
In 2018 he directed his first feature film, The Dig, It was pretty good but of course we don’t tell him that!!

Sorcha Nic Giolla Mhuire

Editor

Sorcha Nic Giolla Mhuire

Sorcha joined Yellowmoon five years ago as a trainee assistant editor. She has a natural talent for editing and today she cuts many Network documentaries as well as a wide range of local programmes – particularly in the Irish language!
She has recently returned from Maternity leave and manages to balance her new life with her old one just perfectly!!

Helen Sheridan

Editor

Helen Sheridan

Helen joined the team in 2007 as an enthusiastic young assistant editor. Today she is a top drama editor, cutting shows like Line of Duty and Come Home. But despite her success she still retains all that enthusiasm that she brought on day one!
The other thing she brings to Yellowmoon is Abbie the dog – a pretty much permanent fixture around the place.

Jenny Houston

Assistant Editor

Jenny Houston

Jenny is our farming girl who chose film and television over herding cows! She joined the team in 2015 as an assistant editor on Game of Thrones and since then she has assisted on most of the major dramas that have come through our door.

Kate McAuley

Assistant Editor

Kate McAuley

Kate is one of our assistant editors who specialises in drama. She joined the team in 2015 and she has worked on some of our biggest shows from Game Of Thrones to Dublin Murders.

Anna Wilson

Front of House

Anna Wilson

Anna is front of house at Yellowmoon and is usually the first face you’ll see when when you come through the door. Originally from England, she’s also a Northerner so she has more in common with us then she lets on!!!
She is a terrific, bright, bubbly person – just the type you’d want to meet when you walk through the door!
